Well I’ve had to search all over for this and never did find it anywhere, but was able to put something together that I think is going to work. So here we go…

AVG Firewall>Configure>Applications>Add Application

Application name: Whatever name you want to name it
Application path: click on the … and find the exe for the program you want to make the adjustment for, in this case uTorrent. To put in custom name you actually have to do it after you have the Application accepted.

Action: Select from the drop down list: Advanced configuration>Create Rule
Select HTTP and click on the -> to more it into the Applied services.
Click on HTTP, and select Edit Service
Click on the Service item, and select Edit Item
Click on the Direction you need, and enter the port you have set up to use.

Ok yourself out and you should be good to go. Bam I’m green!

Well it took over 5 hours to get all my data transfered to the new computer and another 3 to get it set up. So didn’t get much work done today. I did end up watching my 2 great nieces so Bobby and Paula could go out for dinner; we returned a part and did a bit of shopping. All in all a good day. Any day with family is a good one.

Well I went to Tiger Direct because the quickest way I could get back into business would be to replace my motherboard. They didn’t have anything I could use, so I figured out how much it would cost to build a new system, and ended up at close to 500. Circuit City had an acer on sale for 569, that actually had a faster processor and more ram then I could have built as Tiger Direct was out of what I really wanted so I elected to go with the new computer. The negative is I have Vista and I really didn’t want that. Live, learn, and grow.   I do have all my back ups so I will be doing a bit of work tomorrow.

Well I will be down and not able to work for a few days, as I have trashed my motherboard. I need to upgrade my bios for a new hard drive installation, as I had my 80gb drive over 90% full. As I was flashing it, my floppy drive quite working, I hit retry for about a 1/2 hour but it never kicked back in. So my bios was wiped, and there really isn’t any way to fix that other then replace the chip or motherboard. I’ll be sending out an email to all my clients but in case you check in here. I’m down for technical difficulties.

Had a long day today, so I won’t be doing much today, but I did decided on my themes. I’m going with litejazz to start with, well see how it goes. I also configured clean url’s. I remembered that last night in bed. LOL I remembered that if you don’t want the crazy ? and numbers this was something that was necessary. Thanks all for today.
